Ronald Longpre, Psy.D. is a Massachusetts and New Hampshire licensed psychologist and a member of the Police Psychological Services Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. For the past 25 years Dr. Longpre has provided psychological services to local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. His previous experience included working at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution-Concord. Dr. Longpre provides pre-employment psychological evaluations for municipal police departments and psychological evaluations of DEA Special Agent applicants and Amtrak Police applicants.
In addition to pre-employment evaluations, Dr. Longpre provides fitness-for-duty evaluations for law enforcement personnel and psychological services following critical incidents. He has extensive experience in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for victims of crimes and accidents, military combat veterans, police officers and firefighters. Dr. Longpre has conducted forensic and disability evaluations and provided expert witness testimony in cases related to PTSD. He is a co-author of published research on the treatment of PTSD in combat veterans and a past Harvard Medical School Research Associate. Additionally, Dr. Longpre was a consultant to the NH State Police Peer Support Team and a provider in the USPostal Inspection Services Wellness Program supporting employees who are investigating the sexual exploitation of children.
