My expertise includes:

Police Psychology.

I have conducted over one thousand pre-employment and fitness-for-duty psychological evaluations. Those services have been provided to federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies. In addition, I provide psychological services to law enforcement officers, and other first responders, after critical incidents. Officers also consult me about routine life problems that lead other people to seek psychological services. I am an active member of the Psychological Services Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

Individuals who experience traumatic events often need specialized treatment. I have provided services to military combat veterans, police officers and other first responders and victims of crime and accidents. As a Harvard Medical School Research Associate, I participated in studies of the psychophysiology and treatment of PTSD. I have served as an expert witness and provided evaluations for disability claims and personal injury suits.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

This has been a special area of expertise during most of my career. I treat children, adolescents and adults. I have been a professional member of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation for 30 years.
